ABSTRACT

Operational radiation protection in a class A type laboratory

A class "A" laboratory is the specific place to work with unsealed radioactive sources the activity of which exceeds 10 000 times the limit of authorisation "LA" given by the Swiss Ordonnance ORAP. Some elementary rules have to be followed in order to prevent an internal exposure.
